I just attended a film festival screening of Joss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing. It was great: wonderfully acted, beautifully directed, and HYSTERICALLY FUNNY.
I know some people have a problem with Joss-as-feminist, but at one point during the unfortunately brief q-and-a afterwards, Joss good-humouredly called the moderator out for not directing the microphone towards women, because he could see us out there. It was awesome.
(I was still too shy to stick my hand up.)
